GateSort: Privacy Policy
1. Summary
GateSort does not collect, store remotely, sell or share any data. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no in-app purchases. The app does not connect to the internet: your photos and draw sheets are processed on your Mac and never leave it.
2. What GateSort reads and writes on your Mac
- Only the memory cards, folders and files you choose (macOS asks you first).
- Inside the show folder you open: the named rider folders with photo copies, red labels (Finder tags and XMP files), the ShootProof upload folders if you make them, and a hidden “.gatesort” folder with undo records and saved measurements so a show reopens instantly.
- Your settings, stored by macOS for the app.
Text recognition on draw sheets and the photo checks (sharpness, best shots, rider and horse colours) use Apple's frameworks on your Mac. No photo or name is sent anywhere.
3. Notifications
If you allow it, GateSort shows a local notification when a long job finishes. Nothing is sent to a server.
4. Apple
Apple may give developers anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as crash reports) if you chose to share them in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Children
GateSort does not collect data from anyone, including children.
6. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions: heco5533@gmail.com.
